Hopefully you will have seen the news item on the main website promoting the Club Shop that has been set up.
In all seriousness can I ask everyone to have a look at the website to see if it is something that can be used. There is, potentially, a large pot of money there for us to claim.
While contributions from any of the retailers would be gratefully received the biggest financial gains seem to be offered by the financial companies.
On the site there is the possibility to sign up for three credit cards - Capital One, Egg and Marks & Spencer. The commission available for successfully activating a credit card from each of these suppliers is £22, £14.50 and £13.50 respectively.
A TOTAL OF £50!!!
The beauty of signing up for these credit cards is that you don't even have to use the card for La Toque FC to receive the contribution. Once the card is activated you can cut it up and throw it away, we'll still get the money.
In order to test this theory I've already signed up for all three credit cards as well as requesting a number of brochures. And last week saw the Club receive a cheque for £30.75. On top of this there is another £37.30 due for payment in the next couple of months.
PLUS
Due to the efforts of Craig and Mark we should soon be raising ANOTHER £37.90!!!
Thats a total of £105.95 raised by just four people.
I would like to ask every player to seriously consider applying for as many of the credit cards as they feel comfortable. You apply for the card on-line, return a signed terms and conditions notice which is posted to you, then activate the card when it arrives. It's as simple as that. There is absolutely no cost to you.
The question of what we spend the money raised on is really up to you, the players, as you are the ones raising the money. One suggestion is that it goes towards buying a new away kit but this would only be feasible if we raised in the region of £300. But when you consider that each player could raise £50, and we will have approximately 15 players signed on, there is potentially £750 available to us.
However, it really is up to you.
