It can now be confirmed that the referee for each of our pre-season friendlies has been appointed.
For each game during July and August the referee will be Mike McGill who has officiated many of our pre-season friendlies over the past few years.
Can we not get him as our referee in the season, I'm sure the lads won't mind a small increase in our match fee if he is more expensive than Terrifying Tony!!

Hmmmmm now who would call themselves Zico? My guess is Gareth Anyway onto answering the question. Unfortunately Mr McGill is already affiliated to a league during the season and is appointed games every weekend. I only manage to get him to officiate our pre-season friendlies as he works on a 'first come, first served' basis until the season starts. Also we have managed to build up a good relationship with him over the past three or four seasons and he knows he won't get too much aggro and we'll pay up!!!! I will certainly ask him if he would like to referee our games during the season, as I always do, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Unless you're Gareth that is

On the same subject!!!
As we all know that Tony Turner, our normal ref, can be a bit 'erratic' with his decisions sometimes I am always open to offers from anyone else who maybe interested in being our regular referee.
If anyone has a relative or friend who is a qualified referee, is reliable, cheap (ish) and more importantly available to referee many of our games then please ask them to get in touch. Alternatively, if they are not qualified but are interested they can still referee our games while they complete the 10 week course and gain their qualification.
Either way there is an opportunity if anyone is interested.
However, before we start the 'Tony bashing' I would just like to say that without him many of our games would not take place and that he certainly makes organising fixtures a lot easier for me.
He very rarely lets us down lets not forget that.
