Showboat FC Took on Team QMC which saw them produce one of the finest performances of the season (be it only two games in). Following the 7-2 defeat by Team Bushka FC on the opening game of the season Showboats confidence was rocked. Manager James Butler took the boys to a 7 day intensive exotic training camp in deepest darkest Sheffield to 'Man-Up' the team. Sadly Gary 'The Flying Scotsman' Munro was absent. We are unsure into the reasons why but unconfirmed reports state Munro was scared of Yorkshire men as they yearn for his girlish screams. (Source: The Guardian Online) Following the week of tough fitness training the Boat pulled up into shore pumped up and ready for action. The first started tough with both teams looking up for action. The boat stuck two goals in an then never looked back! All match it was entirely showboat. Sweet one - twos, sumptuous triangle play along with pin point perfect long range passing wetting the appetite of the fans. Webb even played ok! Goals were going in left right and centre and no into the Showboat net much to the pleasing of the cat. Sadly Team QMC took the smile right of the little kitten by having a close range blast to the 'unmentionables'. Needless to say the Cat stayed on his feet and didn’t even matter an eyelash. Like a ruddy robot! The boat pulled up 16 - 0 winners GoalsG.Webb : 7 J.Buttler : 5 D.Brooks : 2 J : 1 D.Naylor : 1 Overall GoalsG.Webb : 8 J.Buttler : 6 D.Brooks : 2 J : 1 D.Naylor : 1
