Please be aware that this match report will be very condensed due to a lack of dinner time to write all of the events from last nights blistering action!
Tuesday 21st saw Showboat FC take on Circo Loco. CLFC received a 10-0 defeat last week due to lack of appearance so this match was an unknown. Gavin Webb returned from his sole searching mission having apparently 'Found Himself' and found himself starting from the bench.
Fresh from a weekend off from football the boat cruised into overdrive, playing the game as it was meant to be. One touch passing following death-defying finishing.
Phil 'The Power' started the game by showing the other 9 men on the pitch how to score by applying a power driver, from his own half, into the top left hand corner leaving the keep standing. With the perfect celebration of turning to face the crowd, emotionless. He knew it was that good!
Following Daz’s goal scoring touch it appeared that manager and el-captain James Butler push the defender forward to allow him to continue the form. Which was rewarded by further goals.
Commitment was high and so was team spirit this was showed when Phil belted a ball which was going high, J getting in the way so it looked like the ball hit him plum in the face but was cleverly knocking it down for Dan the Man to knock in one of his many, many goals. J knew that disguise was needed so a girly cry was let out. Cleaver boy!
Circo came down from Division 4 but this showed that the Boat can go places. The final score ended up a whopping 23-4. What a return for the Webb! Not only did he find himself but he found the goal. Many, many times.
Showboat stay top of the league with Roseberry 2nd. SBFC now have a goal different of +30 with Roseberry +19.
Next week sees SBFC vs Asda Allstars
