The Boat went into last nights game against The Commitments knowing that only a win would leave them with the opportunity to claim the title.
The Boat with new faces in the starting line up started nervously, agaist a team that beat them 10-9 earlier in the season. However they soon found their feet, Goals from every team member saw the Boat go into the break 8-3 up.
The Boat then upped their workrate in the second half sensing that a record victory may be on the cards. Again goals from every team member (even Daz) saw the Boat improve their goal difference. At 19-3 this is the Boats highest ever winning margin.
Credit must go to all the team especially Phil 'The Power' Naylor who went in nets due to the Cats absence. A second half clean sheet is some acheivement down at the power league (although the post came to his rescue on a number of occasions).
With the Boat claiming all 3 points it was down to Roseberrys result. After consulting the Powerleague web-site it appears they forfieted the game 10-0 meaning that the Boat are now level on points, but trailing on goal difference by 10 goals.
A win in our final game could possibly see us crowned champions!!
I'm not doing goal tallys today as i have no idea how many people scored. I think I got 3 so if people want to add their own please feel free.
PS sorry about the rubbish report, run out of lunch hour!!!
Up the Boat!

Cracking result fellas. In other news, fans and players alike can breath a huge sigh of relief - I've shaken off my knee ligament strain and will definately be back next week to help the Boat lift the title.
