Showboat bounced back from last weeks defeat (that I'm still upset about!!) to record a comfortable victory over the league leaders. The victory has eased pressure on the manager, who was said to be reviewing his position at the club.
The game saw Webb being dropped for excessive diving in previous games. This allowed for the return of Mr Showboat himself, and this seemed to galvanise the team in the first half.
Despite finding themselves behind after 5 seconds, the Boat rallied well and started to play the expansive football that had seen them go to the top of the table before last week.
Goals from all areas of the team, including (shoot on site) Hart saw the Boat go into the break 6-3 up.
The Boat started the second half as they'd finished the first, with some fine play again allowing goals from all over the pitch. The pick of which were 2 stunners from Dan, whose Mrs was in stands watching.
The Boat eased up in the closing minutes as they were winning 11-3, this allowed the opposition to score there 4th. The CAT having a wonderful game, was again found wanting for this goal. Somehow a dribbler of a shot from 30 yards managed to squeeze past him (it only just managed to cross the line!!!).
Despite this blemish it was the best the Boat have played all season, with performance like that in the second half of the season, promotion is a high possability.
