All Aboard The Sowboat!

This week Showboat FC took on SHAMBLES FC with Showboat looking to bouch back from their 10-9 defeat last week.

The pre match news didnt start well with the news James Butler was taking Gavin Webb to see the Strictly Come Dancing tour ruling them both out for the grudge match. Paul 'Gay Meadow' Thompson duly stepped up.

Showboat came out of the starting blocks very slowly with misplaced passes, poor rollouts and lack of movement, this saw the boat go 2-0 down but heads didnt drop. A powerfull team spirit picked everything up and the boat ended the half 6-5 down. The half included some sumptuous shots by all members of the team including one from Scottish Gaz which he rifled from an imposiable angle.

The second half started strongly and saw the boat take the lead 9-7. Shots were flying in left, right and center with birllient movment from all members of the team.

The final score ended 12-9 with 3 memebers of the team gaining hat-tricks (Phil The Power, Dan the Man & Daz) two from Scottish and a well slotted goal for Thompson.

Next week sees the boat at home to COMMITMENTS FC.

Up the Boat!!! It's good to see that in my absence the team can win!! Anyway The Cat has now shown that his goal keeping is not his only talent, he can write stunning match reports as well!
