Just a quick message.

I want to get five-a-side football started in the new year. I know we could do with it!!!! I know Matts had a look at possibly Harvey Hadden on a Weds can you all give me an indication as to whether you're interested in coming on a regular basis.

I have to make a confession here boss. I mentioned the idea about 5-a-side at Vida (Harvey Hadden Stadium), 7:15 - 8:15pm on a Wednesday in the changing room after last Sundays game.

I did also say that I would be sending out a text message asking who would be regular but due to current budgetary constraints due, in part, to the collapse of ITV Digital and the current financial climate within the football industry (i.e. I have had no credit on my phone!!) I didn't do that.

I will be sending out a text message today, but for anyone who reads this post before our home game on 12 December I need to know who will be a regular attendee at the football mentioned above. It will cost approx £3 (assuming we get 10 players turn up each week).

By regular I mean those who will turn up 3 out of 4 weeks or so. People are always going to miss the occasional week but we need to know you are going to be there for the majority of the time.

Let me know at the game tomorrow.

I can now confirm that we have a pitch booked at Vida (at Harvey Hadden Stadium) for 7:15 - 8:15pm for Wednesday 5 January 2005.

This is something that we have been looking to get started since the start of the season but because of the lack of interest it has not proved possible.

Now, however, we feel that we can get enough players to turn up and we also think that it would help our performances on a Sunday morning. If anyone needs reminding how bad they have been this season just look at the league table!!!!!!!

We want to have at least 10 players turn up each week which will mean it will cost £3 a player. This will also give any new players the opportunity to show they are serious about turning up and show what they are capable of away from a Sunday morning game.
