Now that pre-season training is underway this is where you can let me know how you think it went.
Was it easy enough or too hard? Do you have any ideas on how it could be improved or was it everything you expected it to be?
If you have any thoughts at all on pre-season training tell me now. If it is a good suggestion I may be able to include before we start playing.

Pre season training, very good actually, well in Matt Hallam!
I must admit, i was surprised by the intensity of the session, and its good that we are pushing to be a fitter team than last year. On the downside, i found it very hard, and i have had next to no time away from training, playing for as many teams as i do. So i am concerned that its not for everyone, those of us that play at the front or the back generally do so due to an inability to play in the midfield!
For those of us that can't keep up, a little understanding! We are probably trying our hardest, i am! But week in week out i know i will probably not finish the session, as its not how i play the game.
The little game on the field was a very good workout.
Lets keep it up and aim higher this year, (As lower would be difficult!!!)

I must admit Dan that the session on Sunday turned out to be harder than I had planned. The training during Week 1 was a bit more gentle and I only made a few tweaks to it for Week 2 but it did seem harder for all the players.
However, to a certain extent I'm happier for it to be a bit too hard than too easy. I'm sure you'll agree that we just weren't fit enough last season (the whole team, not necessarily just the midfield) and it is something both Craig and myself decided was a high priority for pre-season training.
It's understandable that you should find it hard, especially because you missed the first week but I will ask you to bear with it. There are only two more weeks left before we start playing matches then the intense fitness training will be no more.
Craig is 37, nearly 38, and, although he finds it difficult and sometimes has to slow right down he never stops. Surely a spritely young man like yourself can out run an old man like Craig!!!!
All I ask is that you put everything you can into it in order to get the most out of it.

CERTAINLY WILL, ALWAYS DO. JUST THAT I'M NOT BUILT FOR CONSTANT RUNNING, THATS WHY I DECIDED TO PLAY UP FRONT, BEFORE BRIDGE I WAS A MIDFIELDER, BUT GAVE UP CAUSE I COULDN'T KEEP UP. I AGREE, WE SHOULD BE AIMING TO BE FITTER THIS SEASON, AND I ALSO AGREE ITS BETTER TO BE HARDER RATHER THAN EASIER.
I ONLY HOPE CRAIG DOESN'T EMBARRESS ME ON THE FIELD!
