As we approach the business end of the season it is still all to play for in the prestigious La Toque FC Fantasy Football League. With just one month of the season left we find it very tight at the top of the table. And to cap it all we have joint leaders At present there are only 26 points separating the top 6 places which means the league table is changing dramatically week by week. At the time of writing long time title chaser Gareth Cook has been joined at the top of the table by Phil Naylor, who seems to have timed his climb to the top to perfection. Your illustrious Player/Manager, Craig Brooks, is still floundering at the bottom of the table on 1,462 points, a massive 281 points behind the current leaders. The league table as at 4 April is as follows: 1 - Oakdale Utd - Phil Naylor - 1743 1 - 18 Times - Gareth Cook - 1743 3 - FC Magamar - Matt Hallam - 1732 4 - Notts Villa - Paul Thompson - 1730 5 - White Horse FC - Phil Cater - 1725 6 - Punjabi Outlawz - Kully Singh - 1717 7 - CF Eoin Jess - Garry Munro - 1622 8 - Long Schlongers Utd - Gavin Webb - 1549 9 - Yop FC - Loz Cox - 1479 10 - Slightly Athletic - Craig Brooks - 1462

A storming week by yours truely has seen me reclaim top spot in the Fantasy Football League table. Not only that but I've managed to create a, ahem, MASSIVE 16 point gap over second placed Gareth ;D
Last weeks joint table topper Phil Naylor recorded the lowest weekly score of 39 points and has now dropped back into joint third place.
Numptys Munro, Webb, Cox and Brooks are all still battling it out to try and avoid the Wooden Spoon.
The league table as at 9 April is:
1 - FC Magamar - Matt Hallam - 1801 2 - 18 Times - Gareth Cook - 1785 3= - Notts Villa - Paul Thompson - 1782 3= - Oakdale United - Phil Naylor - 1782 5 - Pubjabi Outlawz - Kully Singh - 1778 6 - White Horse FC - Phil Cater - 1772 7 - CF Eoin Jess - Gary Munro - 1677 8 - Long Schlongers Utd - Gavin Webb - 1598 9 - Yop FC - Loz Cox - 1519 10 - Slightly Athletic - Craig Brooks - 1512

Well the big news this week is that we have a new player propping up the league. A paltry weekly total of just 32 from Loz Cox has allowed Player/Manager Craig Brooks to leapfrog him. It appears that Loser Loz will have to pull out all the stops to avoid picking up the Wooden Spoon.
At the other end of the table I managed to keep my nose in front although a good week for Phil Naylor saw him move into the Runners up spot.
Current standings are:
1 - FC Magamar - Matt Hallam - 1859 2= - Oakdale Utd - Phil Naylor - 1843 2= - 18 Times - Gareth Cook - 1843 4 - Notts Villa - Paul Thompson - 1839 5 - Punjabi Outlawz - Kully Singh - 1829 6 - White Horse FC - Phil Cater - 1824 7 - CF Eoin Jess - Gary Munro - 1729 8 - Long Schlongers Utd - Gavin Webb - 1635 9 - Slightly Athletic - Craig Brooks - 1574 10 - Yop FC - Loz Cox - 1551

Well with only one week of the season left it's as tight at the top of the table as Harry at the bar!!!! I currently lead the way ;D with 2012 points but Gareth, Phil Naylor and Paul are all waiting in the wings should I crack under the pressure (yeah right) At the bottom of the table Loz looks doomed to end up with the booby prize but, considering Derby County's performances this season, he's at least familiar with his current position. He needs to get 27 more points than Craig in the final round of games to claw himself off the foot of the table. Can he do it? Everyone else will end up in mid-table obscurity The league table as at 7 May 2008 is as follows: 1 - FC Magamar - Matt Hallam - 2012 2 - 18 Times - Gareth Cook - 2000 3 - Oakdale United - Phil Naylor - 1988 4 - Notts Villa - Paul Thompson - 1987 5 - Punjabi Outlawz - Kully Singh - 1951 6 - White Horse FC - Phil Cater - 1924 7 - CF Eoin Jess - Gary Munro - 1835 8 - Long Schlongers Utd - Gavin Webb - 1810 9 - Slightly Athletic - Craig Brooks - 1706 10 - Yop FC - Loz Cox - 1679
