Trophy Night 2007/08

As the season is now drawing to a close it's time to start organising the end of season trophy night. The 'Player's Player of the Year' voting forms will be distributed shortly and with 'Top Goalscorer' and 'Manager's Player of the Year' still up for grabs there is still everything to play for.

(Unfortunately for James D I think the Wooden Spoon has already been won )

The hardest task is actually arranging the event on a night when everyone is available. And although attendance isn't compulsory we would like EVERYONE to attend.

The two dates I'm going to provisionally suggest are Saturday 31 May and Saturday 7 June.

As far as I know nothing significant is happening on 31 May but 7 June is the first day of Euro 2008 and we'd be able to watch the Portugal v Turkey game on TV.

At the moment I'm just trying to find out who ISN'T available on these dates so if you're on holiday (Butler), scouting (Brooks) or just generally unreliable (Thompson) please let me know as soon as possible.

The basic format of the night is to meet at The Jolly Anglers at about 7pm. Dish the trophys out between 7:30 and 8pm then spend the rest of the night drinking your own body weight in alcohol (and where Harry is concerned that's alotta alcohol )

What we do after the trophies have been dished out can be finalised later but what I need to do now is finalise the date.

Can't make the 7th, I'm off to the Euros that day...alas to watch the good folk from the Bundesland and not the Scots. So sad!

So at the moment we are looking to have the Trophy Night on Saturday 31 May.

If anyone is unavailable for this date please let me know as soon as possible.

hi matt is there one for best referee only joking iam sure youve had great referees this season enjoy youre night,you might even win a trophy yourself??

Actually the ONLY decent referee we've had this season is me ;D

And I'm sure the entire squad would agree without hesitation.

As some people can't make either 31 May or 7 June we've had another look at the diary.

It seems that Saturday 24 May is also an option so could you all have a look at your busy schedules and see if you would be able to make this alternative date.

Once again if you CAN'T make it let me know as soon as possible.
