So what were everyone's thoughts about our first pre-season game against Beeston United last Sunday?
Obviously it wasn't the best scoreline but what specifically was good/bad?
And how could we build on/improve these areas?
It's always good to hear what other people think.

Not that I normally recognise any faces but one of our players reliably informed us that Beeston Rovers top scorer from last season (Jason Booth??) was playing up front for them.
To be honest I didn't recognise anyone else but thats not sying much ;D

I think we need a new keeper, more competition in defence, midfield and attack.
Also subsitutes should have no issues being the linesman (or referees assistant), the net situation needs resolving before the season starts, it is eveyones responsibility to help put up and take down the nets, not just the usual team players.
I'm not sure if I am continuing in goal this season as I don't really enjoy it that much.
see you wednesday.

To carry on from Gaz's post above.
First of all thanks for the opinion, we often ask for them but it is always the same people that give them, so it would be nice to hear from one or two of you from time to time.
One thing I will say though is that I don't want opinions turning into arguments so please bear this in mind when commenting. Like e-mails messages can be contruded in lots of different ways when being read by a third party so please think before posting.
Gaz's point about linesmen and nets is valid I expect everyone to participate in the putting up and taking down of nets and I expect subs to offer to run the line for at least a half. So please can we sort it.
Gaz, your point about more competition. In a perfect world that would be great but as i don't pay your wages I can't expect to have a squad of more than 15 or 16 because at the end of the day this is your time and I expect you to pay for the privledge of turning up.
We have (at the moment) 16 players (14 Sunday plus Kelvin and Andy) which if everyones a regular is more than enough for competition purposes. We have at least 3 who can play in goal, 8 defenders, 7 midfielders and 4 attackers yes I know thats more than 16 but some can play in more than one postition.
As for your last point. You know what I think.
But again thanks for your opinion, has anyone else got one.
