Sunday's games will probably mark the end of La Toque's midget generation. Little Ian Addison Smith, player of the year last season, has had a remarkable fall in fortunes. Last season he single handedly help the team to relegation, in the process, easily securing the cursed Players Player of the Year award. Since then Ian's fame seems to have risen the 3ft to his head and this seasons form has lead to him becoming bit part player in the now free scoring team. There is no doubting the little man's skills out wide with a linesmans flag in his hand. But the free fall from Player of the year will be complete when he is released on a free transfer from his contract after sunday's game. Thanks for the memories and thanks for the good performances you tell us you've produces in the past, I'm not sure many of us can remember them!!

Contrary to media speculation, this Sunday will not mark the end of Ian Addison-Smith's illustrious Bridge Inn/Latoque FC career. His Bosman transfer is not expected to be completed until Sunday 9th April therefore meaning that his final farewell to the Latoque faithful will be Sunday 2nd April.
Until then the debate concerning Addison-Smith's "fall from grace" will undoubtedly rage on. Some will say he set himself such a high standard in his first season it would have been impossible for anyone to emulate such consistent performances. On the other hand many would argue that he is simply playing at exactly the same level and that others have simply stepped up to his outstanding benchmark of footballing genius encompassing skill, speed and well... other stuff.
Either way Addison-Smith will look to the next two games to consolidate his place in the memory of fans and players alike.
One thing is for sure though. A legacy has been left on the Latoque left wing that will weigh very heavily on the shoulders of the future Latoque number elevens.
