Presentation Night 2004/05

As the end of the season approaches it is now time for us to turn our attention to the Presentation Night for the 2004/05 season.

For those who are new to the club, each season we arrange a night when a number of trophies are presented to individual players in recognition of their achievements during the previous months. Despite our lowly league position, this season will be no different.

We hope that every one of the current squad, plus any players who have left for one reason or another, are able to attend and try to make sure that it is held on a night that is convenient to everyone.

In order to try and guage everyones availability could you let me know if you would be unable to attend the presentation night if it were held on either Saturday 30 April or Saturday 7 May 2005.

The night usually begins about 7 - 7:30pm, will involve the actual presentation of the trophies, then we will consume a shandy or two. There is also the possibility of going for a curry to round the night off.

The exact format or venue for the night has yet to be finalised but the first step is to arrange a date and your help with this would be very much appreciated.

Hadn't thought about that myself but you're right we should be inviting him/them along to both our Presentation Night and a match. And now that we've started to put in some decent performances it might as well be now.

For the games, our last two fixtures are at Fortress Weirfields (Sunday 27 March and Sunday 3 April) and he is welcome to come to either/both.

A date for the Presentation Night has not yet been confirmed so you can either forwarn him of the provissional dates or wait till it's in the diary.

At training tonight we will be asking if anyone has any suggestions for location/theme of the Presentation Night.

So please have a think about what you might like to do.

Contrary to what was written above the Bridge Inn Presentation Night is almost certainly going to take place on Saturday 14 May 2005.

IF ANYONE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THAT NIGHT PLEASE SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE!!!!!

Provisional details for the night are that it will be held at the Regency Rooms in Ilkeston. This will mean that we have our own room and own bar ;D

Meeting time will be 7:30ish and we will spend the next hour and a half to two hours dishing out trophies, drinking, have a meeting about next season, drinking, general chit chat and drinking. Then it will be into I'lson for a few shandys before finding a curry house at the end of the night.

HOWEVER, none of this is set in stone!!! If anyone has any suggestions about the night or if anyone has a problem with the venue let us know. But you're going to have to do it pretty quickly because we have to get venues, curry houses, etc booked.

A good night is usually had by all and we want to make sure that every squad member is able to make it.
