Well it was a pretty poor performance today. Not sure I'd agree that it was our worst performance of the season but it must have been pretty close.
I really would like to hear what team members have to say about how we turn things around. I said in the dressing room afterwards that it is very easy to point out what is going wrong, the difficult thing is figuring out how to put it right.
We all go away and talk to our mates after the game, I really do think it is time we got things off our chest in front of the whole team. Perhaps someone will say smoething which will help turn things around for us.
For example, Andy asked in the changing room for Craig to tell us individually what he thought of our performances. As I said at the time I don't think that that is the right time to do it but if that's what it takes for performances to improve we will certainly have to consider it.
We all need to do some hard thinking during the next week.

Curiosity purposes? what were victory club like?any good? we got back to winning wayss as we beat royal oak 4-2, but we need to sustain this level of performance to be in the shake up come what April/May.
Also we had our playmaker who was an ex Mansfiel Town and England Under 15 player out for 6 games now, so when he returns we'll be a stronger outfit, but we've worked really hard without him and grafted a good result on sunday.
All the best, hope you improve, and do us a favour, and beat a top team.

Bit of a tough one to answer this. Personally I didn't think that they were that good a team but then again they stuffed us 8-3. What do I know I still think that the best team, technically, we've played have been FC Samba but we'll only find out come the end of the season. In the meantime we'll dust ourselves off, pick ourselves up and start again. It's the only thing we can do. COME ON BRIDGE INN

I'm still waiting for any ideas Bridge Inn players may have. At the moment we have more people from other clubs posting on our boards than we do from our own club!!!!
We are obviously conceeding far too many goals but what can we do about it.
Why are we conceeding so many goals? What do we have to do to try and stop this? Is it the players, the tactics or something else?

Lets get it off our chest before the next game, hopefully it willhelp us move forward.
On another point, I think we really need to look the Ref. He's not exactly helping us just get on with the game, some of the decisiions on sunday were quite simple perthetic!!
As soon as players realise they can get away with anything and that they can get decisions by shouting the loudest .... to be continued (lunch over)

Firstly I'd like to thank Gareth for posting his message. Both myself and Craig really are interested in the views of all the squad, even if we don't necessarily agree with what they have to say. And it's only by getting all of these gripes/concerns/points out in the open that we can address them and, if necessary, take action. Please always remember that it is YOUR club, not mine or Craigs.
I think Gareth’s post has highlighted a major problem with the way Bridge Inn FC has been approaching its games this season and I can assure everyone that, although Gareth has voiced it, it affects virtually everyone in the squad. Whenever we lose, whenever something goes wrong, whenever we don’t play as well as we would have hoped there always seems to be somebody else who is at fault. It’s the left back/center forward/goalkeepers fault, it’s the referees fault, it’s the pitch, it’s the weather, it’s luck. We seem to be too quick to look around for scapegoats instead of looking at our own individual performances. I’m not for a minute suggesting that Gareth believes that he was brilliant on Sunday and that the final result was all because of Tony’s refereeing, he’s more intelligent than that, but how hard has he, or anyone else actually thought about how they played on Sunday.
I personally have ripped my performance on Sunday to shreds (which I’m sure some of you don’t think is too hard). Was I fit enough, did I put enough effort in, did I track back enough, did I get forward enough, did I pass the ball well enough, did I give up, was I good enough, - WHAT CAN I DO TO IMPROVE MY PERFORMANCE NEXT WEEK??? But I’ve only thought about the things I can actually influence. I can’t influence the left back/center forward/goalkeepers performance, I can’t influence the referees decisions (all the time), I have no control over what state the pitch is, I can’t control the weather and I certainly can’t control luck.
My opinion of my own performance on Sunday, for those interested, was that I worked as hard as I could but didn’t bring enough quality into the team. I very rarely tried to pass the ball and I didn’t want the ball enough. It was too easy for me to let someone else have it, therefore limiting the amount of mistakes I could make.
The most obvious person in the team at the moment who doesn’t seem to be worried about anyone or anything else is Ian on the left wing and his performances over the past month have been very good indeed.
I know Tony is not a good referee but at the moment he’s all we’ve got. He’s reliable and cheap and he will be refereeing a lot of our games for the foreseeable future. I suggest we all get used to that fact. If anyone actually thought that he was even partly responsible for the final score on Sunday and our performance I suggest they look at the 13 players who were actually wearing Bridge Inn shirts.
Right I’m going to climb down off my soapbox now. I hope I’ve got the points over I wanted to but if anyone thinks differently or wants to questions anything I’ve written please do so.
By the way Gareth, nothing I’ve put above is directed just at you. All the points I’ve made are relevant to the whole team not individuals.

Personally, I don't think we're in a "crisis" situation. One look at the league and it is quite plain to see that a good run of results for us could get us off the bottom. I really think that we have the quality in our squad to achieve this. However, the problem is that we seem to be starting games well but after we go behind all our heads seem to go down. We just have to keep plugging away and start thinking of ourselves as a team that don't deserve to be bottom of the league. I believe we have too much pride for this.

Now we’re really getting started. Another Bridge Inn poster ;D I couldn’t agree with you more Ian. A run of good results will see us to a healthier league position and as six of our seven league games to date have been against the top 5 in the table I am genuinely hopeful that both results and performances will improve as we play teams lower in the table. And you’ve got it spot on when you say we start games well but let our heads drop when we go behind. You’d think the amount of times we have been behind in games we would know how to deal with this I think the team mantra for our game against Beeston United on Sunday should be ‘Keep plugging away’. If things go against us or players heads go down if we ‘keep plugging away’ things are bound to change.

I see Tony Turners' reputation extends much further than we could possibly imagine Scott, unfortunately we don't have any weekly training at the moment, although it is something both myself and the manager want to get up and running if we can get enough numbers (cue all current Bridge Inn players telling me and Craig on Sunday that that is what everyone really, really wants too!!!). However, you are more than welcome to come and have a look any Sunday morning you want. Let me know when you are coming down and I'll let you know where we are playing.

Perhaps Matts reply to Scott answers all our questions on performance.
'Scott, unfortunately we don't have any weekly training at the moment'
Who here thinks it would help, even if nothing else, with moral?
P.S. who thinks Matts got a thing for smily faces?

Weekly training is the way forward. Matt's work rate in the middle would certainly improve.
As for Patrick Viare, perhaps Phil Neville is more appropriate - are they twins. Given the lack of pictures may I suggest the following.
Ian - Dermot O'Leary Daz and Phil - The Chuckle Brothers Tom - Luke Chadwick
