ill second that we beat them fair and square. we should campaign to keep the points in all seriousness though we should actually be able to claim back the money we spent on the ground and the ref. think about it, paying £40-75 to the council for a game that never really took place according to the tables. £25 for the ref. £66 quid for a no game. anyone agree with that? dave

Holy sh1t I never looked at it from that point of view, you see we played them away so didnt have to pay owt out apart from petrol, but I feel sorry for you for paying out money like that. There must be a fair way of doing this tho however I fear that we are talking in vein...you should be compensated in some sort of way mate.

hi matt j well we all know thats not gonna happen, but ill cetainly mention it to the league. wow wat a game you had today. i watched the close score the 8th goal. must have been a thriller. was it 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, that sort of game or was someone winning easily then a massive comeback. we drew 1-1. our goalie sent off for having someones arm round his neck for one minute throttling him. hmmmm. wil tell you all about it probably onophone mate. cya son dave

Hey dave, was a CRAZY game mate, we were 3-1 down at one point then if i remember right it went to 4-3 then 4-4 then 5-4 to us then 5-5 then 6-5 to us then 6-6 then we grabbed 2 to go 8-6 then for some reason the ref decided to add about an hour on and we went to pot 8-8!! a stupid match mate, ruined because of very very poor reffing. How can you be all over a team one minute then getting battered the next stupid mate. The ref was appaling and I think that Close are looking at complaining and I back them 100%....Great bunch of lads and a very good team coming forward, well done close best wishes.

JARVIS/DAVE I SYMPATHISE WITH YOU ABOUT YOUR REFEREE FOR YOUR GAME(8-8)BUT SURLEY A NOT VERY GOOD REFEREE IS STILL BETTER THAN NO REF. IF HE HAS MADE MISTAKES HE WILL HOPEFULLY RUN THE GAME THROUGH HIS MIND AGAIN AND IF MISTAKES WERE MADE HE WILL ADRESS THEM FOR HIS NEXT GAME. I REFEREE IN THE NOTTS SUNDAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE AND REGUARLY EVERY YEAR REFEREE MOST OF LA TOUQES FRIENDLIES,AND HOPEFULLY I HAVE PUT IN DECENT PERFOMANCES (ASK MATT HALLAM,FINGERS CROSSED)ONE DAY I WOULD LIKE TO REFEREE IN YOURE LEAGUES I KNOW MATT HAS MENTIONED IT TO ME BEFORE. BUT GUYS IS A IN YOUR OPPINION A POOR REFEREE BETTER THAN NONE AT ALL??? ALL THE BEST GUYS HOPE YOURE NEXT REF GIVES AN OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE FOR YOUR TEAMS

hiya ref, thanx for your opinion and I know where your coming from but really, you had to see it to believe it. No dis respect to him as a person but as a ref he was appalling, the opposition was even contemplating not paying him, everybody around commented on his direness, eg. he never blew his whistle, he never used arm signals and it sometimes appeared that he had no control and certainly no respect from the players. Maybe his mind was elsewhere I dont know. I would rather have had no ref as I ref games myself and enjoy it so i wouldve done it, I let the game flow and pull up on the obvious...ive never had any serious confrontations due to my decisions. Cheers all!!!
